"The Journey" is expressed as two feet- with one foot taking a step forward. The idea comes from the Tao Te Ching attributed to Chinese philosopher and Taoist, Lao Tzu. The jewellery is inspired by the following excerpt from these writings:

"The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step".

There is continuing speculation over the actual translation of this verse – this is my preferred interpretation and I hope it will inspire people to have courage when moving forward with their lives, whatever path they take or wherever life leads them.
